HE CALLED YOU
2 Thessalonians 2:13-15
¹³But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. ¹⁴It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁵So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.
When I see the falling away from the Gospel, when I hear of the apostacy of many, it makes me cry, so many people are blind and deaf, to see and hear about their only way to salvation.
But it also is of comfort and joy, that there is a remnant which does and shall persevere. Especially we have reasons to rejoice, when we know that we belong to that remnant.
From the beginning of the world God loved His saints, and our preservation is because of His everlasting love.
Faith and holiness must be joined together as well as holiness and happiness.
God is calling you by the Gospel, and when it finds entrance with you, it will effectively work in you through the Spirit.
When you believe the truth, it will make you to rely on the Christ, and to love and obey him.
Let us stand fast in the doctrines taught by the Bible, and reject all additions, and vain traditions. For only God and His word bring life.
Who are you following?
Your pastor? Your traditions? Your feelings?
Or the Christ, Who is the ONLY way to the Father.
