For the gate is small
and the way is narrow
that leads to life,
and there are few who find it.

Perhaps the well-known picture of the wide and the narrow road hangs in your room. By nature man is on the broad way.
This applies not only to the heathen, but also to the religious man, without the fear of God in his heart.
▪︎ There may be prophesying,
▪︎ casting out devils
▪︎ and of doing miracles.
But do not flatter yourselves with vain hopes!
Many walk on the broad way.
▪︎ They disobey God’s commandments,
▪︎ they have broad views in all areas.
Everything can go through.
But there is also a remnant according to the election of grace, which has been brought down from the broad way and transferred to the narrow way.
▪︎ It is a way of strict obedience.
▪︎ It is a way of tribulations and troubles.
▪︎ It is a way of self-denial
▪︎ It is a way of serving.
But it is better to be in the tightness of the narrow way, than to be in space on the broad way.
The broad way leads to destruction and the narrow way to life.
