Genesis 11:1-4 NASB
¹Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words.
²It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.
³They said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly.” And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.
⁴They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

Technology is beautiful.
You will be amazed at how fast the developments in communication go. A new computer today will be hopelessly outdated in 3 years.
Try to imagine a day without technology. How would you do that?
Descendants of Noah come to a beautiful region where clay can be found. There is also an excellent raw material for making a type of cement. They invented bricks.
They consider themselves so intelligent that they become overconfident. The technique makes it possible to lay bricks and in this way to make high structures. Together they decide to stay together and build a tower that reaches into the sky.
Why?
Maybe curiosity or power.
Unity is strength.
In any case, they have forgotten the commandment of God to populate the earth and rule over the animals.
Technology is great, but it can also control you in such a way that you think that everything is possible and allowed. You become almost like God.
Today these are not towers, but, for example, genetically manipulated creatures or lightning-fast connections that allow you to be everywhere at once: almost like God.
