Ecclesiastes 9:4-5 NASB
⁴For whoever is joined with all the living,
there is hope;
surely a live dog is better than a dead lion.
⁵For the living know they will die;
but the dead do not know anything,
nor have they any longer a reward,
for their memory is forgotten.

King James Version
For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Devotional
One of the exciting moments is when you see yourself alive the next day after a long night.
Unfortunately, some people have lost the desire to live due to pain, prolonged illness, disappointment, etc. If you are one of these people, meditate on this Bible verse and keep your hope alive.
As long as you have life, your situation is better than one who is already dead.
Hope and trust in the Word of God.
Remember that God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).
▪︎ Abraham kept his hope alive for twenty-five years before receiving his reward of Isaac.
▪︎ Joseph went through trials for thirteen years before being promoted to become a prime minister of Egypt.
Dear friends, your time of deliverance will come if you don’t lose heart.
Keep praising God for His Word in your life, and ask of Him to give you the grace to be patient and wait till the fulfillment of His word.
Prayer suggestion
▪︎ Thank the Father that you are still among the living.
▪︎ Ask God to help you with the problems you are facing right now.
