Mark 10:16 AV
And he took them up in his arms,
put his hands upon them,
and blessed them.
In Bunyans’ “Christiana’s pilgrimage” we can read that Christiana takes her children to the Lord Jesus. We read something similar in this portion of the Bible that we pay attention to today.
A number of people (perhaps the mothers?) bring their children to the Savior that He might touch them.
However, those people are hindered by the disciples.
The latter thought that the Lord Jesus had come only for adults. But they are put to shame for this thought, when they see the Lord Jesus laying His hands upon those children and bless them.
Today I write very simply that the Lord Jesus also came for the children, yes even for the little ones, and that we as parents have a pure duty to bring our children to Him in prayer.
After all,
▪︎ Our children also need to be converted,
▪︎ Our children too must receive a new heart,
▪︎ Our children too must get to know the Savior.
Do all children also pray themselves for repentance and say:
“Lord, let me be a little sheep of Your great flock too?”
The Lord likes to hear the children pray this.
