Psalms 77:9,14
⁹Has God forgotten to be gracious,
Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion?
¹⁴You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your strength among the peoples.

Sometimes questions arise in the heart, which obscure the eye and rob us of the silent trust in the God of our life.
Faith and doubt, trust and fear can often struggle in our faltering hearts and make us incapable of the struggle of life and the day’s work that awaits us.
Has God forgotten to be gracious? So we complain.
▪︎ The course of things disappoints us.
▪︎ We are confined to the sick bed.
▪︎ Worldly affairs are not going according to our wishes.
Maybe it is like this my fellow traveler?
▪︎ That you have forgotten God?
▪︎ That you have set your heart on your own ways and on your own wishes?
How else can you so absurdly allow this question to your soul?
After all, you know better: God cannot lack His grace!
Otherwise the choir of angels that said on Christmas night, “It is well pleased with men,” would have proclaimed a lie.
Yes, we have a faithful Father in Heaven,
a Father with Whom there is no change or shadow of turning,
He is still the God who works miracles,
Who works miracles of grace, even to fainthearted children like we are.
