Hosea 14: 9 NASB
Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
Whoever is discerning, let him know them.
For the ways of the Lord are right,
And the righteous will walk in them,
But transgressors will stumble in them.
The past month we have taken God’s Word to us as it is written in the book Hosea.
Nothing good remained from Israel, from man (including us).
We all turned out to be lawbreakers, covenant breakers, hypocrites, yes haters of God.
Whoever is wise has learned from this, that whoever leaves God’s ways has to fear sorrow after sorrow.
The Lord will not be deceived.
He asks for total conversion,
He demands complete obedience.
Can you afford that?
Isn’t it great that the Bible also teaches us that we can come to Him by grace only, by faith only. If it depended on our works, we would never make it.
Jesus Christ never stumbled in following God’s commandments.
He faithfully kept God’s Word.
He deserved the salvation, so he can hand it out to poor sinners like us.
That is why God wanted to have mercy on Israel, and why He also wants to save us.
Be wise, flee to the Christ.
He teaches you to walk into the promised land.
