Hosea 14:2-3 NASB
²Take words with you and return to the Lord.
Say to Him, “Take away all iniquity
And receive us graciously,
That we may present the fruit of our lips.
³Assyria will not save us,
We will not ride on horses;
Nor will we say again, “Our god,”
To the work of our hands;
For in You the orphan finds mercy. ”
Just like a mother teaches her child to pray, so the prophet puts Israel a prayer in its mouth.
He says the words, and invites them to say them after him.
What a miracle! Wasn’t God’s judgment final?
Through the judgment, the Lord bows compassionately and graciously upon Israel’s rest.
He who comes with a broken heart, may go to Him.
Will you pray with me?
Lord, by my own fault I have been beaten and crushed;
take away all my transgressions;
lend me a affectionate ear;
Lord, I will give you all the glory;
I want to pay my thanks to You, oh God;
I will no longer rely on my own strength,
I will no longer rely on my own insight;
I remove all idols from my heart and house;
You are my God;
besides You there is none who takes care of the orphan and the miserable.
Would God hear?
Yes absolutely!
