Hosea 13:4 NASB
I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt;
And you were not to know any god except Me,
For there is no savior besides Me.
It is as if the Lord is interrupting Himself.
Once more He recalls all the sins of Israel.
Everything the people have done.
Then, all of a sudden, He is going to list what HE has done.
We humans shouldn’t do that.
Although some people are used to that.
Showing how important they are, and how well they have done the things they did. That is insufferable.
But the Lord may say Who He is and what He does.
He is the God of this people, from Egypt.
And had the people ever have anything to complain about Him?
There is no Savior other than Me, He says.
Where else could anyone find salvation?
Have you tried it in many other ways?
There is only one way to redemption!
It is only Jesus, who saves us from our sins.
Nowhere else can anybody find salvation.
