Luke 16:10-11
¹⁰He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. ¹¹Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you?
God expects us to completely dedicate ourselves, all of the to us entrusted talents, and all the gifts we received to Him.
Recently we had a look at the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. If you don’t remember it, take some time and read it again.
You will see that when we are faithful to our Lord, and do as He commanded, there always will be a reward.
If you were entrusted with one talent, it is because God knows that thát is what you can handle, so work faithfully with it.
Take the one talent you have, and invest it in eternal things.
▪︎ Some talented people lose their reward because they do things, to be seen of men.
▪︎ Some untalented people lose their reward because they fail to dedicate what they have, because it is not noticed by men.
Both have sinned equally.
Don’t work to be seen by man, but do it for the Lord only!
Prayer suggestions:
▪︎ Ask God to save you from the snare of being concerned with the praise of men.
▪︎ Ask God to help you to use the talents He entrusted to you, in the proper way, so you, and the talents may be completely yielded to Him.
