1 John 3:6
No one who abides in Him sins;
no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him.
How can John say that, he who abides in Him does not sin?
As a matter of fact, He himself said that we deceive ourselves when we say that we have no sin.
Yet it stands.
Whoever abides in Christ, bound to Him by living faith, does not sin. I.e. he may stumble in sin, to his sorrow, but he will not lie quietly under the dominion of sin.
Paul would say: he no longer walks after the flesh.
Attitudes to life have fundamentally changed.
Christ does this through the Holy Spirit.
That means that everything can be obtained from Him, from His fullness.
Isn’t that a good message for you?
By His grace a battle with sin is kindled.
