1 John 3:3
And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him
purifies himself, just as He is pure.
How great is the good that the Lord has in store for those who fear Him! Compared to that, everything that this world offers sinks into insignificance.
- “We will be like Him.”
- We shall have a pure soul, perfect for the glory of God.
- We shall have a glorified body, reflecting the glory of God in eternal perfect beauty. A body united with our pure soul will perfectly fulfill our purpose.
- We will see Him as He is. Here we walk by faith, there by sight. Here we see but a glimpse, there we see Christ in His full beauty.
Whoever has this hope in Him purifies himself.
▪︎That hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts.
▪︎That love makes us weep for sin, to love the Savior.
▪︎ That hope makes us look forward to the fulfillment.
▪︎That hope is the fruit of faith, which gives us the complete innocence and holiness of Christ.
