1 John 3:3
And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him
purifies himself, just as He is pure.
John writes to the children in faith about the great love which the Father gives to His own.
While He has given this once, it is also a comforting promise for the future. That love will one day be indefinite.
But if we have this hope for the future, then we will also be serious about purifying ourselves.
He is clean, His own must also cleanse themselves.
How much preparation is not made when the Queen is to visit somewhere? How much more so in view of the coming of Christ.
But can we cleanse ourselves?
Self-motivation? No. This is only possible through the working of the Holy Spirit.
That is the Spirit which is in Him, and which will also work in people like us.
Will you continually pray for that Spirit and let that Spirit work in you?
