1 John 3:2
Beloved, now we are children of God,
and it has not appeared as yet what we will be.
We know that when He appears, we will be like Him,
because we will see Him just as He is.
John speaks in this chapter about the children of God and also about their glorious future.
What does that glorious future consist of?
What is it that makes believers yearn at certain times for that which is to come?
We shall see Him as He is.
That accounts for a large part of the bliss.
And seeing Him, that makes us like Him.
You will feel that, the highest speaking here, is only stammering.
What breathtaking glory will be seen in Him!
Seeing His face raises joy to its highest climax.
Seeing Him in this life with the eyes of faith already leaves one speechless.
But then we will see Him as He is.
Blessed are those who are homesick for this sight, their eyes shall be satisfied.
