Read: 2 Chronicles 26:2-15
You are young, maybe already 16 years old and you want something….
What would you like now?
Try to list everything you want.
And… is it a long list of ideals?
Are you very focused on your future or is today the only thing that matters to you?
Uzziah is also sixteen years old.
He is the son of the slain king Amaziah, the king who served God, but not completely, not with all his heart.
Uzziah has seen how wrong things went with his father and the boy has learned a lot from this.
Uzziah wants to be a good king for his people and knows that he can only do his job well if the Lord strengthens and blesses him in this.
Do we also look at our studies and our work in this way, do we also show that without God’s help we cannot do anything good?
Thus the young king, in making his decisions, seeks refuge in the Lord.
God also gives Uzziah much prosperity.
Uzziah strengthens the country, secures it and also pays close attention to the economy.
Judah is doing well.
Uzziah very clearly applies the proverb, “Pray and work.”
How nice it would be if we could now close the history of Uzziah like this, but unfortunately we can’t put an end yet…
