1 John 2:23
Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father;
the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.
There have been heretics who denied the Son in the church from the earliest times.
That is, they dishonor the Son of God by robbing Him of His divine honor and majesty.
In doing so they also dishonor the Father, Who Himself has testified: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”
The devil still tempts all kinds of sects to deny the divinity of Christ.
And we? We agree with the orthodox profession of a triune God. But are we not also denying the Son, if we live beyond Him in unbelief. If we do not see Him, and confess Him in truth, as the Son of God?
If we still live inwardly strange and estranged from Him, we deny the Son in deed, though we should boast in Him with our lips.
In this case we also do not have the Father.
But oh wonder, if we believe in the Son, see and confess His Divine Majesty and Glory, then we have the Father also.
We have seen His glory, the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
