1 John 2:17
The world is passing away, and also its lusts;
but the one who does the will of God lives forever.
The world is passing away.
And oh, so soon. When you die, this world will end for you.
And how certain it is that you die, and how soon it will be.
Everything this world offers besides God is only vanity. Do you believe that?
▪︎You pass away with the world.
▪︎Your sun is setting in outer darkness.
▪︎Your end is in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone.
O foolish man, you must learn to do the will of God.
What is the will of God?
And this is the will of him that sent me, that ye believe on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
By that faith
▪︎you learn to hate sin,
▪︎to leave the world,
▪︎to love the Savior above all else.
By that faith you get God Himself for your portion.
The Supreme and Eternal Good.
You remain in the house of the Lord.
You remain in the fellowship of the Lord.
You will share eternally perfection in His love.
Be in His blissful proximity.
You will unfold His praise forever.
Therefore let go of the world and seek the Lord.
