1 John 2:17
The world is passing away
and also its lusts;
but the one who does the will of God
lives forever.
On May 10, 1940, our country was treacherously raided by the German armies. After five days of war, a period of five years of oppression and exploitation began. After that war we were busy rebuilding our country.
But with increasing prosperity, the people started to move away from from God as well.
Many were engrossed in the lusts of this world, and our youth in particular marvel at the tinsel of this world. It seems so beautiful, yet we are warned here: it will pass. Nothing will be left.
Now here we are shown another way, which is to do the will of God.
And His will is that we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, that we be saved, cleansed by His blood. Then we get a view of the future of the Lord Jesus, who remains for eternity.
Shall we choose to belong to Him?
