The one who loves his brother
abides in the light
and there is no cause for stumbling in him.
The false teachers, who want to pull the congregation off the right track, are people who do not believe that Jesus truly became man. That is why they do not take it seriously with the faithfulness to God’s commandments.
They do not love their neighbor as themselves.
That is a mistake, a lie, against which Johannes vehemently protests.
Faith in the Christ, the light of the world, is to be manifested in the practice of life. Whoever loves a brother, that is, a fellow believer, abides in the light, abides by grace in the Christ.
Moreover, you are also saved from causing annoyance to others around you. Just so may we be good and true witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ, to win others to Him and His kingdom.
Shall we from today live in such a way, that His name is not blasphemed by our doing?
