1 John 2:3
By this we know that we have come to know Him,
if we keep His commandments.
Today we remember how the Lord Jesus entered with His own blood the innermost sanctuary, the holy of holies, to lay His finished work at the feet of the Father. Thus He became the propitiation for our sins.
It is about knowing Him personally by faith. Today this question arises: do we know very personally that He has also atoned for our sins in the sight of the Father?
Whoever may know Him in this way, also receives a mighty commission today, namely to keep His commandments.
Which means:
▪︎We will show in word and in actions that we have become His own,
▪︎we will do what He asks of us.
This also means that we have to testify to everyone – near and far – that He is Jesus the Christ, who is seated at the right hand of God the Father.
