1 John 1:7
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
There is a means of cleansing from all sins.
This is an Incomprehensible Gospel, when we can no longer go anywhere with the burden of all our sins!
In the Word, in the preaching of the Word, the blood of the Christ, God’s Son, is presented to us. That is the means by which the guilt and power of sin is taken away.
Because it is the blood, the redemptive work of God’s Son, it is of infinite value. Worth more than all gold and silver. Did you find out, that when you were in your sin, this blood gave glory for you?
In this blood alone is purification. But in this there is also complete cleansing.
We search in vain for other means.
See to it that we do not consider this blood to be unclean in unbelief and unrepentance!
