1 John 1:5
This is the message we have heard from Him
and announce to you, that God is Light,
and in Him there is no darkness at all.
John writes what he has heard from the Lord Jesus: God is Light. In Him there is no darkness at all.
The light and God belong together.
Light, in the Bible that has everything to do with salvation and redemption.
God is Light and He brings people into the light.
We read this in Psalm 27:1: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”
By forsaking the Lord, we humans have chosen the darkness. Walking in darkness is like living without God.
That’s a dead end !!
The only thing that really has a future is walking in the light, living with God.
- In that light we learn to see who we are: sinners, lost people.
- But if we stay in that light, we also discover something else: “The blood of Jesus, the Son of God, cleanses us from all sin.”
As Christians we are allowed to live daily from the sacrifice of Christ.
That life can endure ‘The Light’!
