1 John 1:4
These things we write,
so that our joy may be made complete.
Before us lies the first letter of John.
Everything John presents to us here is reality.
He only writes what he has heard, seen and touched with others of the “Word of life!”
What is he talking about?
About the Word Who became flesh and dwelt among us.
Here he speaks of the Word of life and of the Life that has been revealed.
They have come to know the Christ of the scriptures.
They have followed Him in His steps from the moment He called them.
- He has condemned sin in the flesh.
- He carried sin away to the hill of the cross, Calvary. There everything is accomplished.
The churches to which John writes must be imbued with that real redemption.
You may also be convinced of that….
then the joy is full and boundless.
