1 John 1:2
and the life was manifested,
and we have seen and testify
and proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father
and was manifested to us
The apostles could see, hear, and feel the Word of Life. For Life has been revealed.
The Son of God has appeared in this world, which through sin had become a field of death. He has taken on our flesh and blood.
In Him is life.
He is the Life.
It flows from the pen of John like a jubilation full of wonder.
After all, He has been revealed.
He has come to man who had fallen unfathomably deep.
He has stretched out His arms even deeper than we had fallen.
He offers Himself.
If that were not true, He would have remained eternally out of reach for any human being.
No one would then have stood up to ascend to Him.
- How then could salvation have dawned for people like you and me?
- Life has been revealed!
