Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Devotional
The Christ had to experience the hatred of the enemies.
- They plotted against Him to take His life.
- He has been convicted while He was innocent.
- He was nailed to the cross, and killed.
Now a servant is not greater than his Lord.
The hatred that has been unleashed against the Christ will also be experienced by His followers.
It becomes true in their lives: And ye shall be hated by all for My Namesake.
The hatred of the world, also of the religious world, is their portion.
But against that hatred is a rich promise: “But he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved.”
They cannot stand on their own, not even for a short moment.
They must be kept standing and they are kept by the Faithful One.
It is not hopeless for them.
Experiencing the hatred of the enemies comes to an end.
The persecution and fighting will come to an end.
They will be saved.
The eternal glory will be their portion.
