2 Corinthians 1:19-20 NASB
¹⁹For the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us – by me and Silvanus and Timothy – was not yes and no, but is yes in Him.
²⁰For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.
Devotional
A promise is a declaration or assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen.
There are lots of promises in God’s Word for the children of God: promises of good health, long life, favor, marriage, a career, etc.
All of these promises are tied to Christ Jesus; it is only in Christ Jesus that these promises are sure of being fulfilled in our lives (Colossians 1:27).
In other words, those who are not born again cannot have access to these promises.
Dear friends, meditate on this Bible verse and believe it.
