Obedience is the road to spiritual knowledge.
When I drove in my car, I passed many off ramps and crossroads.
Time and again I saw signposts naming towns in the surrounding countryside.
▪︎ To thousands of people, those signs meant home, loved ones, jobs, comfort, security, and achievement.
▪︎ To me the signs were only words. Why? Because I had never entered those towns, and I didn’t know anyone in those places.
The realities of religious faith, such as God, the Bible, the church, Christ, prayer, mean little to many people. God only becomes real to us only when we seek to know Him and learn of Him.
To do this it is necessary to follow the road leading to personal surrender, love, and obedience.
Praying often to God in faith, sharing fellowship in His church, reading from His Word — all help to transform the words of religion into meaningful experience of God Himself.
Thus the desire to do His will becomes our chief concern.

▪︎ Ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you in new ways.
▪︎ Ask the Lord to help you in seeking to do His will.
▪︎ Ask the Lord to strengthen you to follow the Christ.
▪︎ Ask the Lord to help you in following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
▪︎ Ask the Lord to lead you as you seek to increase your knowledge of Him
