The question has been asked over the centuries
▪︎ When will the Lord Jesus return on the clouds of heaven to judge the living and the dead,
▪︎ and when He will take His church to Himself in His glory, in the Father’s house with its many mansions, in the New Jerusalem that comes down from heaven to the new earth, where the Lord God will be in the midst of His people and Christ will lead His church in the green pastures of the glory of God.
All kinds of calculations have been made and years were mentioned.
But with that we are completely on the wrong track. No one can predict that day, for only the Father knows when the Christ will return.
We only have to watch for the signs of the times, and pray, and look, and wait.
The big question, however, is
▪︎ whether we are prepared for that day,
▪︎ whether we are washed in the blood of the Lamb and belong to Him,
so that we wait without fear and horror for that great day of His second coming.
