Mark 13:22
For false Christs and false prophets shall rise,
and shall shew signs and wonders,
to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.
Devotional
False christs and false prophets will arise (Mark 13:22).
The Lord Jesus has prepared His disciples for troubled times that will precede His return.
He also speaks about the destruction of Jerusalem that is imminent.
This will be a sign and example of what will occur at the end of this dispensation.
But we must not lose sight of all this when reading this passage of Mark.
Great will be the tribulation in the days of the siege and destruction of the holy city, which sinned so much against God, which even killed the Christ, the Sent of the Father, He who came to save and to redeem.
But much greater will be the tribulation in the last days prior to the Second Coming of Christ. And do not forget the false christs and false prophets, who, if it were possible, would even deceive the elect.
In the great need of those days, God’s church may put its hope in the Lord:
Come, Lord Jesus, yes, come quickly!
