Mark 10:13-16 NASB
¹³And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them.
¹⁴But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, “Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
¹⁵Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all. “
¹⁶And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.
Move aside
Get out of the way, everyone has to move. Make room!
This is what the Lord Jesus may have said to His disciples.
Get out of the way, let those mothers come to Me with their children.
Young people don’t have to be at the back. Jesus brings you forward.
This Bible passage shows that Jesus has young people in mind. He gives all attention to you.
Jesus wants to put His arm around you (Mark 9:36).
This can be either a gesture of friendship, or to comfort you when you need it.
His whole attitude radiates Love. Love to young people who have such a precious soul. God wants to visit you like that too.
Then everything has to be put aside, nothing should get in the way. Your disbelief, your doubt, and your indifference are perhaps the greatest obstacles.
It all has to move aside. Jesus wants to come to you, come into your heart. He will not be stopped.
God wants to lay His blessing hands on you through His Son. That doesn’t just happen once in a lifetime. The Lord wants to bless you daily, like a father to take care of you. Under His blessing hands you may move on, there is a future and hope for you.
And be careful not to prevent anyone from coming to Him.
