Mark 5:28
For she said,
If I may touch but his clothes,
I shall be whole.
It must not have been easy for the woman, to have been suffering from a serious ailment for twelve years.
The Bible doesn’t say this, but I imagine that as long as she had the strength for it, that she in those years went from place to place to see if there was maybe a doctor somewhere who could help her. But no matter how she searched, no one could help her.
Nobody?
Yes, One could still help her and she turned to Him. Driven by need.
Her faith in His power is so strong that she considered a touch of His garment sufficient for her healing.
As we know, her faith in the Christ has not been put to shame. For the moment she touched Jesus’ garment, she was immediately healed of her disease.
When there are among us who don’t know what to do anymore about their deadly disease of sin, and are now at their wits end, because they think that no one can help them, then I advise them not to look any further, but to take refuge in Jesus, who can help them and who wants to help them.
He is a Savior Who likes to help those who can no longer help themselves.
