He said, “Go, and tell this people:
▪︎ Keep on listening, but do not perceive;
▪︎ Keep on looking, but do not understand.
This is what is happening today:
Most people don’t listen to God’s word anymore, and rejoice in trespassing the law of God, and rejoice in preparing laws that are completely opposite to God’s will.
The few that are still listening, are listening to people that were not appointed by God, and the few that are listening to men of God do not understand.
Many things are happening in the world today, pointing to the soon return of the Christ, and people look, but never see what it means!”
▪︎ Render the hearts of this people insensitive,
▪︎ Their ears dull,
▪︎ And their eyes dim,
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed.
This is what is happening today:
The hearts of the people have grown insensitive, their ears became deaf for the truth, and their eyes became dim, so they cannot see what is happening. And this must happen.
Otherwise
▪︎ They might see with their eyes,
▪︎ Hear with their ears,
▪︎ Understand with their hearts,
▪︎ And return and be healed.
Otherwise they will see, hear, and understand. And repent of their foolish ways and return to Me and I would heal them and make them well again.
Then I said, “Lord, how long?”
On the question for how long this must be, this answer is clear. Until the end, until the Lord has moved His people “far away”!
And He answered,
▪︎ Until cities are devastated
▪︎ and without inhabitant,
▪︎ Houses are without people
▪︎ And the land is utterly desolate,
▪︎ The Lord has removed men far away,
▪︎ And the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
And this is what He answered:
Do it until their enemy destroys the cities.
Do it until nobody will live in the cities.
Do it until nobody lives in the houses.
Do it until the land is in a state of complete emptiness or destruction.
Do it until the Lord removes people to a place a long way away from here.
And do it until an enemy has destroyed many places inside the country.
In other words, do it untill the Lord has taken His own to a place a long way away from here, leaving destruction (when people are suddenly gone, it will be a disaster for those who stayed behind – just think about aircrafts coming down, because of missing pilots; cars colliding, because of missing drivers; power plants exploding, because of missing operators; etc.)
Yet there will be a tenth portion in it,
And it will again be subject to burning,
Like a terebinth or an oak
Whose stump remains when it is felled.
And even if one in every 10 places still has living people in it, an enemy will burn those places again! They will do it as they burn terebinth trees and oak trees.
The holy seed is its stump.
But from what remains, a holy people will grow.
