Dear friends,
Without Jesus we are all evil and corrupt.
Without Jesus we are all lost for all eternity.
You cannot save yourself.
For by the works of the law only, or only by good deeds:
▪︎ No person will be justified,
▪︎ No person will be made righteous,
▪︎ No person will be acquitted of their sin,
▪︎ And no person will be judged to be acceptable in the sight of the living God.
Nobody will achieve any of these by observing the works prescribed by the Law.
For the real function of the Law is to make men conscious of sin.
Not a vague perception of being sinful, but a deep sorrowful recognition that shows us how bad we really are, and
▪︎ how much we really need to be forgiven,
▪︎ how much we really need to be set free from this dirty prison of sin
▪︎ how much we really need to be washed from all of the dirt from this earth
▪︎ how much we really need a new heart
▪︎ and how much we really need to receive His Spirit.
So we can come
▪︎ to real repentance, and start following Jesus
▪︎ to a growing faith in Him
▪︎ to a holy character
Nor keeping the law as precisely as you can, nor doing many good deeds will be able to bring you any closer to God. The only way to the Father is Jesus Christ because of His sacrifice at Golgotha.
The law, like a mirror, only shows us how evil and corrupt we have become.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (KJV)
Repent of your sins, and start following the Christ right now!
