Hosea 4: 9 NASB
And it will be, like people, like priest;
So I will punish them for their ways
And repay them for their deeds.
The people are not going free.
Whoever thinks, that they can hide behind the guilt of the pastors, is very mistaken.
Each is responsible themselve.
Hosea 4: 4 NASB
Yet let no one find fault,
and let none offer reproof;
For your people are like those
who contend with the priest.
People and priests are guilty together.
For example, take the history of the golden calf.
The people asked and Aaron admitted.
Sinful together, together under judgment.
Do you know the difference between:
▪︎ “the minister is only human” and:
▪︎ “we have a man who is a pastor”?
The first takes down, the second lifts up.
God’s people lift the servants up before the throne of God.
They do not carry them on their hands, but on their heart.
They know that it pleased God because He blesses their service.
What a rich blessing there will be, where this is known.
Do you already belong to the people who pray for their pastor and for their church?
