Acts 19:8-9
⁸And he (Paul) went into the Synagogue, and for three months he was preaching there without fear, reasoning and teaching about the Kingdom of God. ⁹But because some of the people were hard-hearted and would not give hearing, saying evil words about the Way before the people, he went away from them, and kept the disciples separate, reasoning (teaching them) every day in the school of Tyrannus.”
Sometimes you also need to have the courage to leave behind what has been, and start again with a much smaller group of people.
Like Paul I too like to spread the gospel to as many people as possible. But if the situation changes and you are not able to get the message across to them anymore. It is good to realize yourself that the Gospel did not change.
And like Paul continued with a handful of disciples, we must be willing too, to continue with only a few people. Even if the audience (like in my case) drops from almost 11.000.000 (11 million) to less than a hundred.
