Luke 1:16-17
¹⁶He (John the baptist)
will turn many of the sons of Israel
back to the Lord their God.
¹⁷It is he who will go as a forerunner
before Him (Jesus) in the spirit and power of Elijah,
to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children,
and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous,
so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Or:
¹⁶Through him (John the baptist) great numbers of the children of Israel
will be turned to the Lord their God. ¹⁷And he will go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, turning the hearts of fathers to their children, and wrongdoers to the way of righteousness; to make ready a people whose hearts have been turned to the Lord.
When you want to fulfill the will of God, you need to learn what the will of God for your life is. You need to have an understanding of why you are here on this earth.
▪︎ John the Baptist knew the reason why God created him,
▪︎ the prophets before him also knew exactly what God expected from them,
▪︎ and Jesus too exactly knew what He came for, and what He had to do.
Likewise, we too know what we have to do, because Jesus told us.
John knew why he was here, and he went ahead to fulfill his task.
At some point during his ministry he was asked whether he was the Christ.
He told the people that he was not, and that he was not even worthy to untie His sandals and he said that he was the voice crying in the wilderness, calling on people to prepare the way of the Lord. (John 1:23).
Dear friends,
▪︎ After you repented of your sins,
▪︎ after you took up your cross, and started to follow the Lord,
▪︎ after you are born again,
The Holy Spirit will teach you, and show you why God saved you.
He saved you so that you too can be His minister of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18
All these things are from God,
who reconciled us to Himself through Christ
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation
Or:
All things are of God, who has made us at peace with Himself through the Christ, and has given to us the work of making peace
Be available to God to use you, to bring the knowledge of the gospel to many.
For propagating the gospel is our main task on Earth.
You are blessed when you know this, and when God enables you to do this to bring more glory to God our Father.
I pray that your eyes will be open to the importance of this work, so you don’t waste your time on things that do not profit, but live for the Lord.

▪︎ Ask God to fill you with His spirit and enable you to completely fulfill His will in your life.
