2 Timothy 2:25-26
²⁵with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, ²⁶and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.
In other words “Be humble when you correct people who oppose you… they have been trapped by the devil, and he makes them obey him, may God help them escape”
▪︎ Sometimes you may experience opposition, because of your faith.
▪︎ Sometimes you may experience opposition, because you try to share the Gospel.
When this happens, it is important to recognize where this opposition comes from.
▪︎ No, this opposition does not come from people around you.
▪︎ This opposition does not come from coworkers.
▪︎ This opposition does not come from a political party.
▪︎ This opposition does not come from some other race, nation, or religion.
▪︎ And in my case it is not my health, it are not the people in my friends list, or the members in our group, not even Facebook itself, although they made it happen that close to 10 million people cannot read my messages anymore.
The pressure, you and I feel to cave in,
▪︎ to be quiet, when we should speak
▪︎ to sit down, when should stand up,
▪︎ to stop, when we should carry on…
that pressure is coming from only one source, our opponent the devil who uses circumstances and people for his evil schemes and plans.
