Psalms 56:3-5
³When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. ⁴In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me? ⁵All day long they distort my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil.
God has love for His own. And any time God expresses His love, He expects a reaction. He wants us to respond with love to Him too.
God is a person, and He loves to relate with each of His own in a personal way.
You know to call on Him when problems arise. And that is good, you may, no you should do so. But do you also think of Him when things are going well and easy?
David says here, that he puts his trust in the God, whose word he praises. (vs. 4)
In whom are you putting your trust? Is He to you also the God you daily praise? Or is He for you no more than someone you run to when you are in need?
Give your heavenly Father the honor and glory that belongs to Him. Don’t only think of Him when you need Him, but thank and praise Him always, especially when He, by His grace, blesses you with a time of rest and peace.
