Give everyone what you owe him:
▪︎ If you owe taxes, pay taxes;
▪︎ if revenue, then revenue;
▪︎ if respect, then respect;
▪︎ if honor, then honor.

In a world that is fallen and needs redemption, we must show that we are different, because we have the Christ living in us. (See Ephesians 4:20)
If we owe something to someone and we don’t give it, or return it, that would be theft and so against God’s commandment “You shall not steal”. (Exodus 20:15)
We should be an example to those around us and live in this world as God’s children. (Philippians 3:17)
Living in the world, but not being possessed by it.
Therefore we should honor our responsibilities and commitments to others because in doing so, we also honor our Father.
All men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son, honoreth not the Father who hath sent him. (John 5:23)
