Q: My pastor wants me to be baptized every week. Is dat correct?
A: No. That is not what the Bible teaches.
I know of three baptisms.
The first is the baptism into Christ (which is accepting Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior).
Some churches don’t see this as a baptism but because of the total covering and influence I consider, it can also been seen as one.
The second is the waterbaptism (which is an outward sign for an inward change – which also should be visible outwardly)
The third is the baptism in the Holy Spirit (The indwelling of God’s spirit to guide and lead you on every step in your life).
The word Baptism points to a submersion.
Meaning that it is all over you. Covering each part of your life.
