Almost daily I see posts on Facebook with messages like “Let’s make the devil mad by typing ‘God is good‘”.
Often followed by numerous reactions typing the requested line.
Usually they are placed by youth, but the reactions (people typing the requested line) come from all ages.
Sometimes I put a critical reaction on them, as this may seem okay, but it isn’t, and it is childish. But I experienced that when I reacted, my reaction was quickly deleted, because it was not the kind of reaction they asked for, and it could even stop people typing the requested line.
Now I even saw adults, who apparently still are very young in Faith, writing these kind of messages, I thought it would be good to bring this under your attention.
My dear brothers and sisters, you clearly have a completely wrong perception of what, or who satan is.
Typing a few words doesn’t upset him. No on the contrary. All the time you focus on him, you cannot focus on your God.
For did you realize that you can use your time only once?
Every minute you use for something, is spent time for ever.
You cannot use your time playing a game, and use the same time to read your Bible. You cannot use the same time again, you cannot still use it for anything else. You receive every minute only once, and when it passed by, it is gone forever.
So all the time you used to give attention to satan, to demons, to his tricks, you cannot use again to give attention to God, to Jesus, to His love for you, and for the plans He has for your life.
If you really want to upset him, than be a good follower of the Lord.
In other words: Do what Jesus said, and follow Him.
Stay focused on Him, and direct your attention to your Lord.
Of course it is not wrong to say that God is good, when you say it to encourage a brother or sister, for He really is good. But in these kind of messages your motive is wrong. It is never good to make someone angry on purpose. Not even when that some one is satan.
