Psalms 55:22
Cast your burden upon the Lord
and He will sustain you;
He will never allow
the righteous to be shaken.

2 Corinthians 1:3-7
³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, ⁴who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
⁵For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
⁶But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer; ⁷and our hope for you is firmly grounded, knowing that as you are sharers of our sufferings, so also you are sharers of our comfort.
The God of mercy offers me strength for my weakness.
The story is told by Bishop William A. Quayle of a young man who had more than his portion of cares.
Out of his modest salary he supported his aged mother and the family of his widowed sister. He was a liberal supporter of a struggling church. Many people came to him with their worries and anxieties.
One day the bishop said to him: “Son, I don’t see how you do it, you must be loaded down.”
“No,” said the young man, “I’m loaded up.”
There is a difference.
God has provided us with a simple way to lift the heaviest load.
We can rely upon His help and strength.
If we call upon Him in prayer.
He shifts the emphasis from weight to power.
God increases our strength to enable us to bear our burdens.
Has not the Master said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest“?
Prayer suggestions
▪︎ Thank God for the fact that His strength is greater than the cares that oppress us.
▪︎ Thank God for the fact that He is nearer to us than even our own hands and feet.
for the fact that He is more patient than the dearest friend.
▪︎ Ask God to grant you this day strength equal to the weight of your cares.
