Psalms 139:23-24
²³Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
²⁴And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.
Devotional
Most of us don’t like being scrutinized and tested.
But God knows us through and through.
He has been with us from our conception,
and He will work with us through the grave and beyond.
So let us invite him into our interior world to search us, test us, and even scrutinize our anxious thoughts.
When you in invite Him, He will not come to condemn or punish you,
but to cleanse and redeem you, so that you can be led into his eternal grace.
Prayer suggestion
▪︎ Ask God to search your heart for things that shouldn’t be there.
▪︎ Ask God to help you, to live a more pure, more perfect, more holy life.
▪︎ Ask God to help you, to live a life that will be to His glory.
