180112 02 – Acts 01.24-26
Acts 1:24-26 NASB
²⁴And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen ²⁵to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”
²⁶And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.
Devotional
Sharing everything with the Lord in prayer is a good thing to do.
As a child of God, there is the tendency to think that some things are too small to pray about them. Thus we only pray to God concerning the things we consider big or difficult, but that shouldn’t be the case.
God wants to be part of our decisions about all the choices we make in life, so He expects us to tell Him everything, both small and great matters or challenges.
No wonder His Word says in everything we should acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths
Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB
⁵Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
⁶In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
When the disciples prayed about who should take the place of Judas Iscariot, God answered them through their voting.
Dear friends, God will answer you when you seek His opinion in all your endeavors.
You will always have the upper hand and are bound to succeed when you ask Him to lead you in everything.
Remember that even our Lord Jesus Christ shared everything with the Father, even His death on the cross.
Luke 23:46 NASB
And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said,
“Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.”
Having said this, He breathed His last.
Share everything in your life with God, and let the Holy Spirit lead you.
