Matthew 14:19 KJV
And he commanded the multitude
to sit down on the grass,
and took the five loaves, and the two fishes,
and looking up to heaven,
he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves
to his disciples,
and the disciples to the multitude.
Devotional
He blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples,
and the disciples to the multitude.
The disciples were powerless.
They could neither make nor increase food. Because that is the work of God.
The Savior multiplies the five loaves and the two fishes.
His hands continue to break until all are satisfied.
He uses the intercession of the disciples to feed the crowds.
A clear sign for the disciples for the future.
The Lord will let them carry the gospel of free grace.
But they cannot make the spiritual food themselves. That is God’s work. He will use the labors of His disciples according to His good pleasure for spiritual food for His people and children in the wilderness journey of this life.
Where from man there is no possibility, He works miracles.
With Him is an eternal fulness.
The Lord makes you hunger and thirst, but He does not fail to feed and water.
In the way of the miracle one may experience: ‘The river of God is full of water’.
God gives everything in Christ, the Bread of Life.
