Isaiah 55:11 KJV
So shall my word be
that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void,
but it shall accomplish that which I please,
and it shall prosper [in the thing]
whereto I sent it.
A distributor gave a tract to a young man, accompanying it with some words expressive of a serious and affectionate desire for his salvation.
The young man, upon the departure of the missionary, threw the pages into the fire; but as they curled up in the flame, his eye caught the words: “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My words shall not pass away.”
As these words turned to ashes in the fire, they turned to fire in his mind.
He found no rest, until he found it in the blood of atonement.
This was an actual occurrence.
